The Why

Since I was a student, I struggled with one of life’s greatest challenges—staying consistent. Whether it was schoolwork, hobbies, or personal goals, I often found myself falling off track. But as I moved into college, I had a realization that changed everything: Consistency is not just a habit, it’s a way of life. There is no alternative if you want to achieve anything meaningful. I knew I had to push myself, even when I didn’t feel like it.

 

One of the ways I started embracing consistency was by posting my gym check-ins on social media. At first, it was just a way to hold myself accountable. I’d post regularly, but like many, I’d stumble and lose momentum. Yet, the point wasn’t to be perfect—it was to show up again after falling off. And I did.

 

Over time, this journey of showing up, despite the setbacks, became a part of who I was. One day, I started writing in my Instagram stories the simple phrase, “Consistency is King.” It was a reminder for myself and connections that in any project or goal, consistency is the foundation. I began to abbreviate it to “CiK,” and before long, connections knew it as my personal mantra—a message I was relaying time and time again because we all need that reminder.

 

In 2024, that mantra evolved into something bigger: Consistency is King was born as a brand. It’s more than just clothing; it’s a statement about showing up, pushing forward, and embracing the journey no matter how many times you fall. This brand is my way of sharing with the world what I’ve learned through my own struggles—that consistency truly is the key to success, in the gym, in life, and in everything we do.



I remembered to take a mirror selfie before I went to the gym for the first time in 2015, glad that sharing in this way.
